I was excited to visit this museum since I first heard of it. Specimens are fascinating and unique. They invoke a mix of emotions when you see them. But I would like to say that there should be small version of prospect/brochure that you can carry around with you so if you are interested more than just superficially you can easily see what each specimen represents. At the end of the visit you just return it at the front desk. Lovely ladies that work there found temporary solution for this yesterday but in a long term I think something should be changed. And it would be also useful to point out somewhere next to the price list on the page that it's a bit cold inside.

Very good value for money if you are interested in human medical specimens. Lots of information available and many displays fit into a small space. Certainly worth the visit if you have a passion for anatomy.
Anyone with morbid curiosity or anyone with an interest in anatomy or science will love this museum. Very informative and plenty of displays to look at.
The Vrolik Museum is a special kind of museum that is rarely found. If you are visiting with children, I strongly recommend that you discuss with them in advance what they will find here. The exhibition is not for the faint-hearted. There are explanatory cards in English and Dutch next to some of the exhibits. Taking photos is not allowed.
I would highly recommend a visit.
What an amazing experience! Totally worth the long metro ride! Make sure you exit the metro station on the correct side or you will end up walking through a housing project that is not very pleasant.
